1) The reports were moved From BO 3.1 Edge to BI 4.0 Development by using Upgradation management tool(UMT).
2) The reports were moved from BI 4.0 Development to BI 4.0 Production by using Life cycle manager(LCM).
3) Reports of BI 4.0 Production were validated with BO 3.1 Edge Instances.
4) For some reports, we changed the BW driver connection to MDX Driver connection, as BW driver is not supported in BI 4.0.
5) The reports that were already migrated to MDX in BO 3.1 Edge, were not functioing well after migration into BI 4.0. So we again changed the driver to MDX in BO 3.1 Edge and then migrated to BI 4.0.
6) Some reports that were not functioning in BI 4.0, had to be redesinged in BO 3.1 Edge and then migrated to BI 4.0.
Test Notes
We compared the successful instances of BI 4.0 report with the respective BO 3.1 Edge reports.
